The 2025 Shaoxing "Fragrant Encounter at the Sea of Plum Blossoms" Rural Common Prosperity Month was launched at the Qianmu Plum Blossom scenic area in Dongcun village, Wangtan town, on Feb 17.

On the opening day, five renowned artists — Zhang Lin, Chen Weifeng, Li Deshun, Wang Wenjuan, and Pang Lili — were invited to join the local common prosperity workshop, with a particular emphasis on the local plum industry.

The green plum industry is a hallmark of Wangtan town, playing a crucial role in the local economy. During the opening ceremony, a signing ceremony was held for investment projects in the Green Plum Industrial Park.

Dongcun village thrives on its connection to plum blossoms, which have brought both elegance and prosperity. The annual early spring plum blossom viewing event has been a cultural and tourism highlight for over a decade, making it a signature attraction of Wangtan town.

The 2025 Shaoxing "Fragrant Encounter at the Sea of Plum Blossoms" Rural Common Prosperity Month will run until March 16, coinciding with the peak flower-viewing period in the scenic area, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of plums in the region.
