Shaoxing home to 6 provincial ICH sites
Recently, Zhejiang province announced the list of 53 sites included in the first batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage experience sites.
Among them, Shaoxing boasts six sites, including the China Yellow Rice Wine Museum in Yuecheng district.
China Yellow Rice Wine Museum occupies nearly 30,000 square meters, with a plaza area of over 2,600 square meters.
As a large-scale museum dedicated to the comprehensive display of Chinese yellow rice wine culture, the museum exhibits the rich history and cultural essence of yellow rice wine through various exhibits.
The exhibition halls focus on themes such as the history of wine, wine customs, the wine industry, brewing techniques, and the art of decorative carving on wine jars.
Additionally, the museum features realistic simulations of underground wine brewing and a tasting bar for yellow rice wine.
