The 2024 China International Huangjiu Industry Expo and Huangjiu Carnival in Shaoxing Rice Wine Town on Nov 7.

This annual event celebrates the rich heritage of yellow rice wine, known as huangjiu, which has been produced in Shaoxing since the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC).

Shaoxing's yellow rice wine is renowned worldwide, with exports reaching over 40 countries and regions. In recognition of its cultural significance, the brewing technique was designated a national intangible cultural heritage item in 2006.

From November 7 to 12, Shaoxing Rice Wine Town will host a six-day festival themed "Drinking Huangjiu at the Beginning of Winter". The event will feature yellow rice wine-themed activities, including unlimited tastings, promotional sales, and interactive experiences.

As the capital of Chinese yellow rice wine and a renowned global wine production area, Shaoxing has been dedicated to the high-quality development of its yellow rice wine industry in recent years. The city aims to enhance the prestige of Shaoxing yellow rice wine by focusing on high-end, youthful, global, and digital strategies.
