The second phase of the 2024 China Softball League began on Oct 12 at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Center, with nine teams from Zhejiang, Liaoning, Shanghai, and other regions competing.

As one of China's premier softball events, the league has returned to Shaoxing for the third consecutive year. This phase will run until Nov 5, featuring 22 competition days and 75 regular-season games.

The Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Center, which also hosted events for the 19th Asian Games, is the largest facility in China that meets international A-level standards for baseball and softball.

"With more top-level baseball and softball events coming to Shaoxing, we're driving mutual growth in both sports and urban development," said a representative from the Shaoxing sports bureau. Shaoxing plans to continue attracting major sporting events as part of its vision to establish itself as China's "City of Baseball and Softball".
