The First Forum on Global Lu Xun Studies from Multilingual Perspectives took place on Sept 28 at Zhejiang Yuexiu University.

The forum attracted over 100 experts and scholars from 12 countries, including Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and Australia, representing 11 languages.

During the forum, scholars exchanged ideas on topics such as the translation and global dissemination of Lu Xun's works, his portrayal in cross-cultural contexts, and his enduring influence worldwide.

Lu Xun (1881-1936) was a prolific writer whose novels, essays, and poems often offered sharp critiques of society, leaving a profound impact on Chinese literature and thought.

The afternoon sessions covered specific themes across five panels, covering Lu Xun's social ideals, artistic philosophy, reinterpretations of his works, and their reception in different cultural contexts.

These discussions fostered knowledge exchange among participants, providing fresh insights for further exploration of Lu Xun's literary legacy in a global context.
