The Baidu Intelligent Cloud Future Driving Experience Center is set to become a pivotal part of Shaoxing's push towards smart city development.

The "industry-university-research-application base" of the center is planned to be completed in September, with the entire experience center expected to be operational by the end of this year.

Once operational, the center will accelerate the development of the autonomous driving industry in Shaoxing.

The Baidu Intelligent Cloud Future Driving Experience Center will encompass six exhibition centers focusing on AI-connected networks, general AI industries, intelligent transportation, and smart vehicles.

The center will feature cutting-edge technologies such as AI virtual digital humans, intelligent connected vehicles, and Baidu robots. The goal is to establish a comprehensive demonstration base for future intelligent driving in Shaoxing.

The project will also include the construction of a 6.8-kilometer urban road, integrating over 200 devices such as edge computing units, communication systems, and cameras. The road will undergo high-definition mapping and modeling to develop new automotive and transportation services, creating China's first autonomous driving scenario that integrates expressways with surface roads.
