Shaoxing's Keqiao district rolled out its first mobile health screening bus on Aug 22, in a bid to detect cervical and breast cancer.

The bus departed from the Keqiao District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, heading to remote villages and industrial parks to provide free medical check-ups.

"The bus is equipped with a digital mammography X-ray machine, digital X-ray imaging system, and portable color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic equipment, which effectively meet the needs for cervical and breast cancer screening," said Ma Li, the hospital's Party secretary.

This year, Keqiao has been actively optimizing grassroots healthcare services.

Recognizing that many residents, especially the elderly, struggle to book appointments online, Shaoxing Second People's Hospital recently launched an early morning window for outpatient registration, starting as early as 6:30 am. This innovation significantly reduces waiting times for registration and payment.

The initiative has garnered widespread community support. The Keqiao Charity Federation alone has received donations of over 3 million yuan ($423,513.73) this year.
