The 10th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show commenced on Feb 27, drawing over 4,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions, including over 350 pearl enterprises from Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province.
"This year, with the exhibition held at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 1, we've observed a significant increase in foot traffic," said He Yan'er, a representative from Zhejiang Oriental Shenzhou Pearl Group Co.
To ensure a successful start, Zhuji's pearl enterprises meticulously prepared for the exhibition. "We brought over 100 kilograms of freshwater pearls with nuclei, aiming to enhance customer loyalty, expand our client base, and secure more orders through the exhibition," stated Liu Shengbo, head of Zhuji Shunde Long Jewelry Co.

Zhuji Sihan Jewelry Co went a step further by setting up a live streaming room at their booth, resulting in online sales of 60,000 yuan ($8,334.45) within just two hours.
"We aspire to explore broader overseas markets at the exhibition," expressed Jin Shijie, head of Zhuji Wanchu Jewelry Co, attending the event for the first time. With over 30 years of experience in the pearl business, Jin intends to attend more exhibitions this year to diversify sales models and business practices.
A promotional video highlighting Zhuji as a "World Pearl Town" is presently being aired in Causeway Bay. Additionally, Zhuji is slated to host investment and tourism promotion events, extending invitations to representatives from Hong Kong compatriots, the business community, and the education sector.
Officials from the Zhuji government will pay visits to jewelry manufacturers in Hong Kong to engage in discussions regarding collaboration opportunities in the jewelry industry and to explore potential project partnerships with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).
In May of this year, Zhuji is set to host the annual World Pearl Congress.
