The final section of the Shaoxing Metro Line 1 extension project was recently completed, local media reported on Jan 11.
The project spans from the Convention and Exhibition Center Station to the Huangjiu Town Station, linking locations including the Shaoxingbei Railway Station and Shaoxing No.1 High School.
The 4.07-kilometer stretch, featuring three new stations, has entered a 3-month trial run following project approval.
Overcoming challenges such as tough geology and complex water systems, this extension navigates through deep silt and solid rock, offering smart tech solutions for challenging terrains.
The 34.1-kilometer Shaoxing Metro Line 1, with 23 stations, has been operational since its integration with the Hangzhou Metro Line system on April 29, 2022.
