Recently, the main construction of the Zhuji Basketball Center has been completed, with the initial outline of the seating area taking shape, local media reported on Dec 27.
At the project site, more than 400 construction workers are busy, with two large cranes lifting and laying the steel structure. Six tower cranes coordinate to transport large steel materials, creating a bustling scene of intense activity.
"The project has many challenges. In the construction of the steel structure, there is a large span, with the maximum reaching 110 meters. We used a 350-ton hoisting belt, employing new technologies such as virtual pre-assembly of steel structures and intelligent measurement to ensure the safety of the steel structure lifting," said Shi Jian, the person in charge of the Zhuji Basketball Center project at Hongkun Construction.
The concrete main structure was fully capped in September, marking the successful completion of the main structure phase of the Zhuji Basketball Center project.
The Zhuji Basketball Center covers an area of 8.6 hectares and can accommodate nearly 18,000 spectators. It is currently the largest single sports arena in Zhejiang province and one of the top ten basketball centers in the country.
Once completed, the center will be able to host international and national-level sports events, concerts, and various types of activities of different specifications.
