Zhejiang Jinggong Steel Building Group played a vital role in the construction of major venues for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games.

The group provided the steel structure components of seven venues, including the Fenghuangshan Sports Park, which is the main venue of the Chengdu Universiade.

Resembling a cup with a lid, the park boasts a total construction area of 450,000 square meters. As a super-large venue, it comprises a professional soccer field with 60,000 seats meeting FIFA standards, a comprehensive sports arena with 18,000 seats meeting NBA standards, and a multipurpose hall.

Li Jianhong, deputy director of the Engineering Center at Jinggong Steel Building Group, noted, "The Fenghuangshan Sports Park uses a large-span cable dome structural system."

"The dome’s central diameter is about 150 meters, and the ring truss system uses computer-controlled hydraulic integral lifting technology. With 12 sets of large-scale lifting frames, the truss structure is lifted to a height of over 60 meters. These pioneering techniques are unprecedented in China," said Li.

Jinggong Steel Building Group Group has aided in the construction of more than 100 sports venues both domestically and internationally, including the National Stadium "Bird's Nest" for the Beijing Olympics, the Lusail Stadium "Golden Bowl" for the Qatar World Cup, and several venues for the Hangzhou Asian Games.
