Shaoxing unveils Asian Games menus

Shaoxing in Zhejiang province released the "Celebrating the Asian Games with Shaoxing's Flavor: Hundred Counties, Thousand Bowls" menus on Aug 1.
Thirteen Asian Games reception hotels in Shaoxing, including Shaoxing Hotel and Xianheng Hotel, simultaneously unveiled their themed menus.
The menus feature a tantalizing array of dishes such as secret recipe aniseed duck, stir-fried fish slices with loofah, traditional stewed duck, and Shaoxing-style stuffed lotus root. Each hotel is also showcasing its unique signature dishes.
Zhou Hongliang, vice-director of the Shaoxing bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism, stated that this menu embodies the wisdom and dedication of the city’s predecessors, carrying the essence of Shaoxing cuisine.
The initiative serves as an excellent opportunity to exhibit Shaoxing's historical and cultural significance. It aims to provide a chance for more athletes and spectators to savor the delicacies and distinctive local snacks of Shaoxing, according to Zhou.
On the same day, the Shaoxing Hotel Association initiated the "Welcoming the Asian Games with Enthusiasm and Contribution" campaign within the tourism and hotel industry.
The campaign pledges to offer high-standard, high-quality services to welcome the Asian Games, ensuring that visitors and athletes enjoy exceptional accommodations, sumptuous meals, and a memorable experience while exploring Shaoxing.
