The Shaoxing Ancient City Day and the International Symposium on Ancient City Culture Inheritance and Development was held in Shaoxing on July 15.

Experts and scholars from home and abroad, representatives of some famous historical and cultural cities, and leaders of cultural and creative enterprises gathered to discuss the development of a "world-class ancient city with international influence, Chinese style, and Shaoxing characteristics".

At the opening ceremony, the "Map of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279)" was released in Chinese, English, French, and Italian on the UNESCO Smart City Platform. It took five years to compile the map, which marked 436 locations in Shaoxing during the Southern Song Dynasty.

Shaoxing also released the "Shaoxing Historical and Cultural Famous City Protection Plan (2021-35)", inviting more like-minded people and more social resources to participate in the protection and revitalization of Shaoxing ancient city.
