The 2023 China-Shaoxing (Shangyu) International Rowing Challenge was held in Shangyu district, Shaoxing, on July 16.

The event brought together nearly 200 athletes and coaches from 16 domestic and international universities, including Oxford University, Cambridge University, Harvard University, the University of Sydney, and Peking University.

The China-Shaoxing (Shangyu) International Rowing Challenge draws its inspiration from the historic Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, an iconic event held annually on the River Thames.
