Shaoxing's shooting talents have punched their ticket to the prestigious Asian Games for the first time, local media reported on June 27.

Yu Haonan and Wang Yuefeng, two exceptional marksmen representing the province of Zhejiang, showcased their prowess at the second phase of the 2023 National Shooting Team Selection Competition for Rifle and Pistol in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, from June 18 to 26.

This high-stakes competition not only served as a platform to determine the elite competitors but also allocated valuable points towards their overall rankings.

The three shooters with the most accumulated points will go on to represent China in the upcoming 2023 World Championships in Azerbaijan, as well as the highly anticipated shooting events of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

With an impressive score of 58.6 points, Yu soared to a second place in the men's 10m Air Rifle event, spearheading Shaoxing's first appearance at the shooting event of the Asian Games.
