The inauguration ceremony for the autonomous driving Asian Games bus route in the Future Baseball Community was held at the Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Center on June 15.

Following the opening ceremony, the first bus embarked on its maiden voyage, with government officials, transportation experts, and media representatives onboard.

Equipped with advanced autonomous driving technology, the buses on this route can navigate roads, follow traffic regulations, and make precise stops without the need for human intervention.

This innovative transportation mode is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce carbon emissions, and improve overall transportation efficiency.

As the first autonomous driving Asian Games bus route in the province, the line spans a total length of 5.7 kilometers and connects with Shaoxing Metro Line 1. It covers densely populated areas such as the Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Center, metro stations, and university campuses.

The Future Baseball Community, as a pilot area for autonomous driving technology, has actively embraced smart transportation solutions. The initiative is expected to pave the way for future autonomous transportation projects in Shaoxing and inspire other cities to explore similar advancements.
