The 2023 Rotax Max Chinese Cup Karting Challenge ignited a wave of speed and excitement in Dingzhai town, Shangyu district, Shaoxing on June 11.

A total of 126 racing enthusiasts from seven countries and regions and 17 provinces and municipalities showcased their driving skills.

The SDT Nestle team won the sprint race, while the Hanjiangwan Karting World team and JSK-S+Racing team secured the second and third-place positions.

Rotax Max Chinese Cup, derived from the world-renowned Rotax Max Karting Challenge, is the most signifcant karting event in China. This year, a total of six regional races are being held, with Shangyu Station being the second station and the only one in Zhejiang province.

Racer Yu Haoxi said the race was a challenge and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She traveled all the way from Tianjin to participate, emphasizing the importance of not missing a single race.

The Shangyu Shunkang International Race Park was built at the former site of a small concrete factory. It stands as a witness to the collaborative efforts of the village and Shangyu Education and Sports Group in promoting the integrated development of sports and tourism.
