Five cultural enterprises and institutions from Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province made a splash at the five-day 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, which opened on June 7.

Among them was Zhejiang Yuesheng Culture Media Group which showcased publications of a Chinese modern literature protection project. Initiated in 2019, the project has collected over 300,000 volumes of literary works from home and abroad and published more than 400,000 copies of them which are now available at over 500 libraries worldwide. The company in recent years has also helped build digital libraries for works of Wang Yangming, a philosopher in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and Cai Yuanpei, a great educator.

Many intangible cultural heritage items from Shaoxing also shone brightly at the fair. Yueqingtang, a celadon manufacturer, displayed an eight-piece set comprising multiple products including tea sets, wine utensils, and incense burners.

Wangxingji, a time-honored paper fan brand established in 1875 and popular in many countries, brought various new products, including all-brown paper fans and sandalwood fans, to the expo.

The 19th ICIF set up six venues with a total exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. More than 50 countries and regions have participated in the event. The Zhejiang pavilion is divided into four areas themed on digital culture, integration of culture and tourism, major projects, and cultural space.
