The grand original dance drama Xishi premiered at the Hangzhou Grand Theater in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on the evening of June 5, depicting the legendary life of Xishi, one of the four great beauties of ancient China.

Renowned dancer Yang Liping, who serves as the cultural and artistic advisor for Zhuji, a county-level city in Shaoxing, said the drama is a delightful surprise as it embodies the strength of modern women in the traditional character.

The production team behind the drama, Zhuji Cultural Tourism Group and Hangzhou Hongyi Yingxiang Cultural Tourism Development Co Ltd, has also planned a global tour for the dance drama, aiming to showcase the cultural heritage of Zhuji.
