The 14th Internet Culture-Themed Activity opened at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Culture Center in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province on May 31.

The activity, which includes various events such as talk shows, aims to promote the city's image.

During the opening ceremony, a group of about 100 media reporters, internet influencers, and sports celebrities visited the baseball and softball center. This venue, which will host baseball and softball competitions during the Hangzhou Asian Games, is designed to showcase the local characteristics of Shaoxing as a water town and as the "hometown of calligraphy".

With a total area of about 160,000 square meters, the center is the largest of its kind in China. It consists of two baseball fields, two softball fields, and two training centers. It is expected to witness the conferral of two gold medals during the Asian Games.

Yan Shimin, a Chinese female rower and the champion of the 16th Asian Games, said "This venue is very beautiful. I hope that after the Asian Games, it can provide a better sports and leisure experience for local residents."

The group also toured other attractions in Shaoxing, such as the former residence of Wang Yangming, a renowned philosopher from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and the Huangjiu (Shaoxing rice wine) Museum.
