Shaoxing held a promotional meeting to advance innovation and deepen reforms as part of the implementation of Zhejiang province's "88 Strategy" on May 28.

During the meeting, the work progress of different government departments was reported, and the major economic indicators of various districts and counties were disclosed. Shaoxing's comprehensive assessment work was also deployed.

Wen Nuan, Party secretary of Shaoxing, emphasized the importance of thoroughly implementing the requirements and deployments of the provincial government.

He affirmed the achievements of previous efforts, conducted a detailed analysis of existing shortcomings, and made arrangements for the next stage of work. He emphasized the need to speed up progress in the second quarter and achieve outstanding results in the first half of the year.

In addition, it was stated at the meeting that efforts should be made to ensure the swift establishment, commencement, and production of more projects; that more consumption scenarios and themes should be created, and the upgrading of consumption formats should be accelerated; and that local companies should be encouraged to participate in overseas exhibitions to increase foreign trade growth.

The Party secretary also mentioned the need to closely follow their time schedule and strengthen work responsibilities in preparation for the Asian Games. He said that every effort should be made to advance preparations for the Games.

Shi Huifang, deputy Party secretary and mayor of Shaoxing, added that all regions and departments should make greater efforts and take practical measures to ensure that Shaoxing is a provincial leader. He said that further focus should be placed on key tasks, benchmarking second-quarter target requirements, and making more significant achievements.
