Shaoxing umbrella enterprises win big at Canton fair

Over 20 umbrella enterprises from Shangyu district in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province have made an impressive display at the third phase of the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as the Canton Fair, from May 1 to 5.
As of May 4, the delegation has received over 2,000 clients, with a total intended transaction amount exceeding $15 million. The participating companies have demonstrated exceptional innovation and creativity in the design of their products, particularly gift umbrellas.
Tengxin Umbrella Industry, one of the leading companies in the delegation, said they have negotiated cooperation agreements with several foreign clients.
The Shangyu district delegation has been attending the Canton Fair for the past 15 years. The collaborative participation of the group at the event has been an extremely fruitful strategy for promoting their products and services and gaining access to global markets, according to the district bureau of commerce.
Canton Fair is split into three week-long phases over the course of a month. Launched in the spring of 1957, the event is currently held twice a year, in spring and autumn. It has the largest scale, the largest variety of exhibits, and the most diverse client base in terms of nationality, largest business turnover, and best reputation in China.
