A spring bamboo shoot market was launched in Changtang town, Shangyu district, Shaoxing on April 8.

The market offered fresh and dried bamboo shoots, bamboo weaving products, and milkshakes in bamboo jars. A competition was held to decide the biggest bamboo shoot brought to the market.

The market is another creative way for Changtang town to promote its bamboo industry. In 2022, the town yielded over 12,000 metric tons of bamboo shoots, 20 tons of which were sold online.
