Yipeng Machinery, an intelligent sock machine manufacturer located in Datang subdistrict, Zhuji, announced on March 13 the launch of its highly anticipated third-generation sock machines.
The new offering – a knit and flip sock machine – is set to be launched in May. The company has already received 100 orders for the new machine, which has undergone significant optimization in terms of sock patterns, textures, and efficiency.
Ma Bao'er, head of the company's research and development department, stated, "We are continuously improving our products' details and parts, not only making the machines look better but also producing more efficiently."
The company's management revealed that a single sock machine consists of over 2,000 parts, with approximately 80 percent of core components, including large disk drives, middle plate needle tracks, and upper plate yarn feeding systems, being independently developed and manufactured by the company.
In 2022, Yipeng Machinery sold 1,800 intelligent sock machines, a 120 percent increase over the previous year. The company aims to sell over 3,000 sock machines in 2023.
Zhou Mengyong, the company's chairman, stated that their first goal this year is to use machines instead of employees, and their second goal is to make the machines more reliable.
