Shaoxing textile industry holds first exhibition in 2023
The 11th Shaoxing Keqiao China Textile City Curtain Fabric Exhibition was held at the Shaoxing International Convention and Exhibition Center from Feb 27 to March 2.
As the first exhibition of the year for the Shaoxing textile industry, nearly 300 exhibitors showcased their new products and creative ideas in a 26,000-square-meter venue.
"On the first day of the exhibition, we signed over 200 new orders, almost all of which are from new customers," said Luo Zongjie, one of the exhibitors.
"The impact of epidemic over the last few years was not small. We hope to turn things around this year."
"This is the first exhibition held after the adjustment of epidemic policies. We hope to use the exhibition as a platform to deliver positive signals to the industry," said Zhao Junhui, executive vice chairman of the China Textile City Curtain Fabric Industry Association.
"The venue area has been expanded by 20 percent, the number of booths has increased by 30 percent, and the participating merchants are not limited to local businesses in Shaoxing."
More than 15,000 visitors attended the exhibition on the first day, while the number of online visitors exceeded 200,000.
