Shaoxing attracts over 2.5 million tourists during Spring Festival

Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang province received over 2.5 million tourists during the Spring Festival from Jan 21 to 27, up 41.3 percent year-on-year.
The Former Residence of Lu Xun was one of the most popular scenic areas during the holiday, receiving about 140,000 tourists during the holiday, up 7.4 percent compared with 2019.
Another 25,548 tourists toured the city by boat, up 48.2 percent compared with 2019, according to official statistics.

The Anchang, Luzhen, and Keqiao ancient towns attracted over 560,000 tourists during the holiday, earning a combined revenue of 29.14 million yuan ($4.31 million), a year-on-year increase of 159.17 percent.
The city also offered 1-yuan metro tickets and tourism coupons worth 50 million to locals and tourists.
