CBA team looks forward to home games in Shaoxing
Chinese Basketball Association men's team Zhejiang Golden Bulls officially announced that they will play their home games at the China Textile City Sports Center in Shaoxing, East China’s Zhejiang province on Jan 19.
Starting in March, when the China Basketball Association resumes with home and away games, Golden Bulls fans can support their team at the Shaoxing arena.
The Golden Bulls' home games had previously been held in Hangzhou, but due to renovations at the arena, the team had been training at the Zhejiang Professional Sports Technical Institute. This season, the Golden Bulls have performed well and have gained a large following of fans, making this partnership with Shaoxing even more exciting.
The China Textile City Sports Center has a capacity of over 5,000 and is equipped with modern facilities. It is also easily accessible by car or public transportation from Hangzhou.
This new home court will be a new challenge for the young players, including Yu Jiahao, who will finally be able to experience playing in front of a home crowd after three years of the CBA playing their seasons under COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
"We are all looking forward to playing on our home court once it is open,"said Wu Qian, captain of the Golden Bulls. He added that while the pressure may be different playing at home versus playing away, it is a new challenge for the team as a whole and that they are ready to work hard and give their best effort in every game.
