Companies in Yuecheng district have been busy securing business orders from overseas clients after China's loosening of COVID-19 restrictions.
Zhejiang Jiyi Technology Co Ltd, a firm that specializes in textiles and clothing, is one such company. On Jan 12, the firm sent a delegation led by its chairwoman Xia Yanhong to Los Angeles.
The team has brought with them more than 1,000 varieties of sample products to show potential buyers.
"Though it was difficult to go abroad for business negotiations in the past few years due to COVID-19, we never stopped developing new products," said Xia.
She estimated that her firm would sign $20 million worth of business orders during her visit to Los Angeles.
Shaoxing authorities had on Jan 6 released a set of policies aimed at helping its foreign trade firms secure more business orders. Trade firms have been encouraged to go abroad and participate in overseas exhibitions.
