Shengzhou company's self-developed satellite launched
The first satellite independently developed by Weixing Technology, a commercial aerospace enterprise located in the Shengzhou Economic Development Zone, was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China's Gobi Desert on Jan 9.
The satellite successfully entered its predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.
The main payload of the satellite is a miniature hyperspectral camera. It is one of the micro-nano satellites with the highest width and resolution among satellites of the same level that China has launched.
Its performance is at a globally advanced level. The data it collects is mainly used for geographic mapping, smart city development, agricultural and forestry census, and marine environment.
Weixing Technology is located in the Shengzhou Economic Development Zone and has an annual production capacity of 30 to 100 satellites.
In recent years, Shengzhou has been promoting the development of strategic emerging industries, supporting technology-based enterprises, and cultivating a regional innovation ecosystem.
