Shangyu district, Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, called upon its foreign trade firms to take the initiative in exploring overseas markets and stabilizing business orders at a video meeting on Dec 28, 2022.

Officials from the Shangyu commerce bureau briefed attending business delegates on the district's favorable policies aimed at helping foreign trade firms seize more business orders.

Representatives from the Shangyu branch of Industrial and Commerce Bank of China gave a lecture on the branch's financial initiatives to support foreign trade firms.

According to the policy package, the government of Shangyu will offer subsidies to firms that go abroad to participate in trade fairs or meet potential clients.

Other favorable measures include easing the exit and entry process for business delegates and helping them import more high-quality products.

According to a preliminary survey by the Shangyu commerce bureau, 48 firms planned to go abroad for business negotiations.
