The China-Russia (Zhuji) International Laboratory was launched in Zhuji, a county-level city under the administration of Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 12.
The laboratory, which focuses on materials research, was founded by the government of Zhuji and the China-Russia Joint Laboratory.
Located in the Zhuji Sci-Tech Innovation Park, the laboratory has assembled many top Chinese and Russian scientists in materials sciences, including Chen Qingquan, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Aleksandr Pavlenko, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The laboratory aims to achieve innovation in materials sciences to provide technical support for the development of electrical energy, transportation and biological medicine.
This year, Zhuji established a number of high-level research institutes in partnership with universities such as Zhejiang University and Xi'an Jiaotong University.
