Keqiao Forum drives discussions on development of Belt and Road Initiative

The 2022 New Silk Road Story Exchange Keqiao Forum, which was hosted by China's state Xinhua News Agency and the government of Zhejiang province, opened in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 15.

Wang Hao, governor of Zhejiang, and Lyu Yansong, editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

Wang said that Zhejiang will deepen trade, industrial and technological cooperation, and cultural exchanges with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Lyu expressed hope that all sides involved would join hands and build a bridge for cooperation and exchanges, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum aims to bring together Chinese and foreign scholars, officials and elites to discuss ways of achieving high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Tian Xuejun, Chinese vice-minister of education, Lin Yiqun, deputy general manager of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, and Zhang Dingming, deputy general manager of China Three Gorges Corporation, also shared their ideas with about 150 attendees.
