Foreign investment in Shaoxing up 78.2% in Jan-Aug period
Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang province received $711 million in foreign investment from January to August, up 78.2 percent year-on-year.
"The hard-won growth shows foreign investors' confidence in Shaoxing," said an official at the Shaoxing Investment Promotion Center.
Shaoxing had at the start of this year launched a special campaign to stabilize foreign investment. The local government has since held several matchmaking meetings, solved the difficulties encountered by enterprises, and promoted the implementation of new projects.
From January to August, 117 foreign-funded projects were approved in the city.
Located at the Digital Economy Industrial Cooperation Park in Binhai New Area, Minth Technology is now preparing to launch a semiconductor project with an investment of $100 million.
"Development zones and industrial platforms have become hotbeds for foreign-funded projects," said the official.
