Shaoxing Metro Line 1 transports 1.96m tourists during National Day holiday

The Shaoxing Metro Line 1, which was put into operation on June 28, transported over 1.06 million passengers during the seven-day National Day holiday from Sept 30 to Oct 1, local media reported on Oct 11.
The average daily passenger traffic was over 133,600. Oct 1 saw a record high of 162,400 passengers.
The number of passengers traveling from Hangzhou to Shaoxing increased by 49.48 percent compared with the same period last year. The most popular destination was Lu Xun Native Place, which is the former residence of Lu Xun, a famous Chinese writer from the 20th century.

Spanning over 20.3 kilometers, Shaoxing Metro Line 1 has 10 stations.
The trains run every nine minutes from China Textile City Station in Keqiao district, Shaoxing to Guniangqiao Station in Xiaoshan district in Hangzhou.
