Shaoxing receives 2.77m tourists during holiday

Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang province received more than 2.77 million tourists during the seven-day National Day holiday, the local municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television and tourism announced on Oct 8.
The figure is 10.3 percent higher than that of the same period in 2021 and 1.5 percent higher than before the pandemic in 2019.
Rural tourism was again popular among travelers during the holiday. The homestays in Dongming village, Xinchang county attracted over 96,000 tourists and generated over 1.65 million yuan ($230,000) in revenue.
