Zhuji focuses on development of smart vision

The smart vision industry in Zhuji, a county-level city in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently approved by the Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission to be among the fourth batch of "new promising sectors".
The province is planning to develop emerging sectors that are expected to span an area of 10,000 mu (667 hectares) and generate more than 100 billion yuan ($14.88 billion) in output.
The smart vision sector in Zhuji generated 5.27 billion yuan in total output in 2021, a year-on-year rise of 142 percent. The figure is expected to reach more than 12 billion yuan in 2022.
So far, 28 major smart vision projects have been conducted in the Smart Vision Industrial Park, attracting 40 billion yuan in total investment.
Representatives from the authorities of the industrial park said that they will make strong efforts to attract more leading industrial players in smart vision industry to the park.
According to the plan, the smart vision industry in Zhuji is expected to reach more than 50 billion yuan in total output in 2025, and by 2030, the figure to be more than 100 billion yuan.
