Shaoxing, Hangzhou to build pilot area for airport economy
The Zhejiang provincial government has given its approval to Hangzhou and Shaoxing to develop a pilot area for the airport economy, local media reported on May 26.
According to the provincial approval, the pilot area will cover 115 square kilometers in Shaoxing's Keqiao district and Hangzhou.
The area will develop integrated circuit, biological medicine, and advanced materials industrial clusters along the high-speed railway linking the two cities.
Shaoxing authorities said they expected the area to have a developed supply chain for the airport economy by 2025.
