Construction of the Shaoxing Overseas Chinese Businesspeople Building started on May 8.

The 500-million-yuan ($74.4-million) project will upon completion three years later have 38,400 square meters of office space for businesses backed by investments from overseas Chinese.

Ye Weihong, director of Shaoxing's Bureau of United Front, said during the launch ceremony that the city welcomes overseas Chinese businesspeople and local authorities will continue to support them with quality resources and preferential policies.
