The municipal government of Shaoxing and the Zhejiang University signed an agreement to expand their medical cooperation on March 16.

According to the agreement, Shaoxing People's Hospital will cooperate with the Zhejiang University School of Medicine while the municipal health commission of Shaoxing will work with the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital affiliated with the Zhejiang University School of Medicine.

Two famous doctors from the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital opened work stations at Shaoxing People's Hospital on the same day.

Zhejiang University is a comprehensive research university with distinctive features and a national as well as international impact.

With seven faculties and 36 colleges, schools and departments and one polytechnic institute, Zhejiang University has 14 primary and 21 secondary national leading academic disciplines.

More than 200 alumni have been elected as members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. With educational approaches always advancing, Zhejiang University leads the whole nation in educational reforms.

A rich campus culture, advanced teaching facilities and a wide range of international exchanges create favorable conditions for students' development.

Shaoxing and the Zhejiang University signed their first and second cooperation agreements in 2010 and 2016, respectively.
