Zhou Lingfei, the oldest grandson of famous writer Lu Xun (1881-1936), has opened a workshop in Shaoxing, the hometown of his grandfather, local media reported on Nov 16.
Located in Anqiaotou village, Sunduan subdistrict, Yuecheng district, Zhou's workshop was once honored with a nameplate granted by the local government. However, he refused to hang the plate outside the workshop so as not to attract too many visitors.
"Compared with living in downtown areas, life in the countryside is peaceful and fun, just like my grandfather described in his novels," he added.

Zhou is concerned with the village's revitalization and has encouraged his students to work at a cartoon and animation base in the village. He said he is looking forward to building an exhibition hall and a vocational school, which are expected to boost the local economy.
Lu Xun, whose real name was Zhou Shuren, was known for his versatility as a short story writer, essayist, literary critic and editor. His revolutionary stance, care for the people and spirit of exploration have aspired future generations to contribute to the country's prosperity drive.
