Over 800 Shaoxing companies attend CIIE

A total of 2,160 professional purchasers from over 800 companies in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province are taking part in the the ongoing China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
With an exhibition area of more than 366,000 square meters, this year's CIIE draws nearly 3,000 businesses from 127 countries and regions, both higher than its last edition.
Participation from Fortune 500 companies and corporate giants will exceed that of the previous edition. Ninety enterprises from 33 least developed countries will participate in the expo.
"The CIIE will be a great opportunity for Shaoxing companies to seek international partners," said a staff member of the municipal commerce bureau.
According to the bureau, two projects worth $450 million will be signed during the expo and seven Shaoxing-based cultured companies will present the city's intangible cultural heritage items to the world.
