United front boosts development of private companies

The united front work in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, is helping local companies attract skilled workers and increase revenues, local media reported on Oct 28.
"The united front work station in our company helped me solve many troubling issues in my life and allows me be to be fully committed to my research," said Wu Wenbin, a researcher at Zhejiang NHU Co in Xinchang district.
The united front work stations are an important part of Party building in private companies, according to the United Front Work Department of the CPC Shaoxing Municipal Committee. These stations are set up to serve employees of private companies and unite non-Party members.

Shaoxing's first united front work station was set up at Zhejiang NHU Co in May 2017. According to the company, the station has generated direct revenues of over 50 million yuan ($7.81 million). In the first half of 2021, the company's revenues were 7.25 billion yuan, up 36.79 percent year-on-year.
To date, the city has built united front work stations in 112 private companies, including 21 listed companies.
