The 2021 World Textile Merchandising Conference will take place in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, from Oct 26 to 29, according to an announcement made during a news briefing in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang, on Sept 23.

The announcement also stated that the Keqiao Textile Expo (Autumn) and the Keqiao Fashion Week will be held during the World Textile Merchandising Conference period.

This year's textile merchandising conference will be themed on digital technology and green development.

The World Textile Merchandising Conference has become a recognized international event in the textile sector, and was listed as one of the most important exchange events during the national 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) by the Zhejiang government.

An official in Keqiao said that the conference will act as a bridge for international cooperation and bring new opportunities to the textile industry.

Over 60 textile brands from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and South Korea will take part in the conference.
