Residents in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province will be able to witness eight gold medal events of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, according to the first draft of the Games' schedule on Sept 8.

Apart from Hangzhou, Shaoxing will host the largest number of competitions during the Games.

According to the draft, eight gold medals will be up for grabs in the city from Sept 7 to 24, 2022. The women's 5x5 basketball competition will be the first to begin at the Shaoxing Olympic Sports Center on Sept 7.

Local authorities said the city has invested 2.34 billion yuan ($363.6 million) in venue construction or upgrades. All venues will be ready by the end of October.
