Shaoxing's annual talent introduction program, which has been held for three consecutive years, was recently launched, local media reported on Sept 5.

This year, the city is looking for talents who can contribute to digital economy, according to a survey conducted among Shaoxing companies. Job seekers with expertise in integrated circuits, biological medicine, and advanced materials will also be very popular, according to the survey.

The city plans to hold several matchmaking sessions targeted at high academic degree holders and professors from universities.

Statistics of the municipal bureau of human resources and social securities show that the program has attracted over 280,000 university graduates to Shaoxing in the past three years.

Despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the city offered jobs to 122,300 university graduates, up 19.32 percent year-on-year.
