The Hangzhou-Shaoxing Intercity Railway started a trial run on Feb 2, signaling that construction on the railway has almost been completed after three years of hard work.
Officials said that the railway will be officially put into trial operation in June.
The intercity railway has a total length of 20.3 kilometers and 16 stations, six of which are underground.
The speed of the train was designed to be 100 kilometers per hour, and the duration of the whole route takes around 25 minutes.
The train connects Shaoxing Metro Line 1 with Hangzhou Metro Line 5. It will be the fastest and most convenient channel to travel across the two cities once it starts operations.
According to the announcement made by Keqiao Rail Traffic Group in Shaoxing, the train line is expected to be open to traffic in the middle of this year.
