Digital transformation upgrades production efficiency

The industrial digital-oriented development index of Shaoxing in 2020 was 98, ranking second among cities in East China's Zhejiang province, according to a report recently released by Zhejiang authorities.
The city has long placed a great emphasis on bolstering industrial development by making use of digital technology.
In terms of 5G, Shaoxing has taken a lead in designing a blueprint for the development of the 5G industry. To date, the city has built 7,450 5G stations.
Twenty-eight companies have launched the pilot program to integrate the use of 5G and industrial internet technologies. A machine tool production project of Sleemon was included in the list of national demonstration projects for the application of 5G and industrial internet technologies in 2020.
Xinchang county in Shaoxing developed a digital platform that is able to increase the productivity of bearing companies. More than 1,000 small and medium-sized bearing companies have accessed the platform, increasing the productivity of their equipment by 20 percent on average.
An increasing number of new companies are being included in the city's digital-oriented transformation program. As of now, the digital-oriented transformation projects have been completed at over 1,300 companies in the city. Over 30 workshops have become more digital-oriented due to the program.
