The opening ceremony of the Sixth World Buddhist Forum was held on Tuesday evening at Mount Xuedou in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

With the theme "Hand in Hand for Coexistence," the forum aims to explore consensus and practical approaches within the Buddhist community to address global challenges in our rapidly evolving world.

It also aims to show that peace, development, and world prosperity are common pursuits and shared visions for Buddhists and all humanity.

The three-day event will be attended by some 800 participants from 72 countries and regions.
