Zhoushan's scenic spots see a surge in holiday tourists

As of 4 pm on Oct 7, Putuo Mountain scenic area and Zhujiajian scenic area received a total of 526,400 visitors during the National Day holiday, generating over 400 million yuan ($56.62 million) in tourism revenue.
Specifically, Putuo Mountain attracted 303,000 visitors, while Zhujiajian attracted 223,400.
To handle the increase in tourist flow, 33 passenger boats were deployed in the two areas. The Zhujiajian-Putuo route used 19 boats, capable of transporting 8,000 passengers per hour, while the Luojia Mountain route had 6 boats with a total of 2,170 seats.
Additionally, 107 buses were used in Putuo Mountain, with an hourly capacity of 6,200 passengers and a maximum turnover of around 90,000 passengers over the holiday.
During the holiday, the two areas set up 37 volunteer service points at scenic spots, docks, and parking lots, deploying over 1,800 volunteers.
At the main entrance square of Putuo Mountain, red mobile stalls were set up, offering reasonably-priced items like bottled water, eight-treasure porridge, and biscuits.
