Wenzhou's tourism soars during National Day holiday
During the National Day holiday, Wenzhou welcomed a total of 4.56 million visitors, marking a 9.0 percent year-on-year increase, according to data from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
Of those, 2.67 million were overnight visitors, reflecting a 12.1 percent growth year-on-year. Data from Ctrip, a Chinese travel platform, showed a 10.05 percent increase in Wenzhou travel bookings during the holiday.

Wenzhou introduced a variety of immersive and culturally rich tourism experiences that gave visitors the chance to explore its scenic landscapes and cultural heritage.
The city leveraged traditional and modern elements to attract tourists. The fusion of old landmarks with new trends created unique experiences that focused on traditional Chinese culture.
In addition to cultural tours, Wenzhou offered diverse activities such as culinary tours, sports tourism, and performances. New experiences like city walks, city rides, and country walks enriched the visitor experience and invigorated the local economy.
Sports-related events were also a highlight, with innovative activities like low-altitude flying in Yongjia county, Wencheng county, and Taishun county offering visitors thrilling new adventures.
